Our Club has been affiliated with the Monash University - Caulfield campus since 1994. Over this time the Club has provided Monash students (local and international), Monash alumni and the local community the opportunity to play football/soccer. Our strengths are the multi-cultural make-up of the team and desire of players to experience the different cultures of all players. This makes for a strong team and adds to the benefits of being involved with the Club. Many players stay in touch through our Club email, website and players traveling overseas.
The support for football in Australia is growing, with record breaking support for the Melbourne Victory, Australia's success in Germany at the FIFA World Cup 2006, and participation numbers at an all time high. The Gryphons play in the Amateur Soccer Federation of Victoria (ASFV) and enter a senior and reserve team, and with growing participation of both men and women in the sport, the Club is seeking to expand its player roster to include a third men's team and a new women's team.
